We primarily act as a "Data Processor," meaning We process personal information on behalf of Our clients, who act as the "Data Controllers." In this role, Our clients determine the purposes and means of the data processing, and We process personal data strictly in accordance with their instructions and the terms of Our data processing agreements.
However, in certain situations, We may act as a "Data Controller." This occurs when We independently determine the purposes and means of processing. This Privacy Notice applies only to the personal information We process in Our capacity as a Data Controller. It does not apply to data We process on behalf of Our clients. Interpretation
The words of which the initial letter is capitalized have meanings defined under the following conditions. The following definitions shall have the same meaning regardless of whether they appear in singular or in plural.

Retention of Your Personal Data
Scalar will retain Your Personal Data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes set out in this Privacy Policy. The specific retention period depends on the nature of the personal information and the reasons for which it was collected. We will retain and use Your Personal Data to the extent necessary to comply with Our legal obligations (for example, if We are required to retain Your data to comply with applicable laws), resolve disputes, and enforce Our legal agreements and policies.
Scalar will also retain Usage Data for internal analysis purposes. Usage Data is generally retained for a shorter period of time, except when this data is used to strengthen the security or to improve the functionality of Our Service, or We are legally obligated to retain this data for longer time periods.

Scalar will need to verify Your identity before processing any requests related to Your personal information. We may verify Your identity through a phone call or email. After receiving Your request, We will make reasonable efforts to provide, correct, or delete Your personal information as requested.
